In Reviving Giants we learnt about the disappearance of giant kelp forests in Tasmania. Scientists estimate that 95% of the dense giant kelp forests along Tasmania’s east coast have disappeared.
In the film we learnt this decline was cause by climate change which had led to a) lack of nutrients, b) marine heatwaves and c) tropicalisation.
